How to Submit a reserve request for when a specific customer(s) are unknown
- Rep will enter an order on the IPS Reserve account (20K2352) in OMS mainframe OE01.
- Person making the request to reserve inventory should be entered in the Contact field
- Reference information should be added in the PRIM PO field
- The ORDER TYPE field will be defaulted to a TH order type. (a TH order type means that an order will not ship unless manually manipulated)
How to locate and verify an IPS Reserve order
- OM60 will show the amount reserved by entering in account number (20K2352) and the specific EAN.
- Ingram IQ ADHOC open orders report will show reserved inventory on the IPS Reserve account
How to Modify an IPS Reserve Order
- To Add - Enter another order on the IPS Reserve account referencing the same reason for the additional quantity.
- To Decrease a reserve to a specific order
- To allocate inventory reserved to a specific order, rep uses OM60 to change priority (PRTY) on the order they are allocating to. (Make sure no other order in the system has a higher priority than the order that needs to be released)
- Priority can be viewed in OM02 on a title level in the 3rd row

- Once the order that should receive the inventory reflects the correct priority, the TH order should be decremented or cancelled by entering a U next to the title level in OM02 and following the appropriate steps.
- To decrease, tab to the qty ordered field and reduce by the number of units needed.
- To cancel entire line of reserve, tab to the cancel field and enter a Y

Things to note about Logical reserve NO specific customer
- IPS Reserve order will remain indefinitely or until someone has manually canceled it.
- IPS Reserve order can be entered prior to receipt of a title to reserve a title.
- OM60 is updated based upon the warehouse system waves. So, the whole process could take multiple waves.
